Lil Bit About the People At Lil Texas Doxies & Lil Texas Doxies Itself My name is Shannon Thomas, and my husband is John Thomas. Our children are Brittany 17 yrs. old and Christopher 14 yrs Old. We started this adventure in 2001. John my husband of 18 years works 6 days a week and sometimes 7 days a week.
So we tend not to ask him to help us too much since he does work hard to provide for our Family. We just let him sit back and hold the babies and love on them.
We are a Texas Grown Family and we are causal family not a fancy family. We enjoy a good ole laugh or a good Cookout on the Pit with some ribs and or burgers with family and friends or A Trip to the Lake for some Fishing & Swimming.
Now a little about Lil Texas Doxies Other Babies
We strive very hard here to have the best quality dachshunds we can. We do not Show nor do we claim to have Show Quality Dachshunds. We raise ours not for show but for loving homes. We pick our breeding dachshunds for temperament, conformation, then color.
We do not list puppies for sale till they are at least 5wks of age because that way we can better evaluate them to ensure you will be getting a puppy that we know has no issues.
We take breeding here very seriously and don't feel that just throwing a male & female together is the best thing but we rather take the time to match a female to the best male we feel would produce the best puppies based on temperament, conformation, and have beautiful color as well.
Our intention is to raise Healthy , Happy and Loving Babies for you to enjoy. We use to be small breeder then we got a bit bigger then we have now downsized due to we realize that we would like to have more time to love on our babies than be stuck cleaning up all the time and it is more fair to our doxies being smaller.
All our mothers to be whelp in our home and we stay with them even if that means we stay up all night long with them to make sure they never get into trouble.
You are welcome to print off a Pedigree of the parents of your puppy from our website.
What our Vet does when he Checks each pup is Checks their Bite, hernias, insures your puppy has all their equipment (even if it is going to a pet home we have our vet check and make sure everything is where is suppose to be) and pulls a fecal to check and make sure they have no worms or Coccidia. If for some reason there is a issue found we always tell every buyer anything we know about our puppies.
WE DO NOT KEEP ANYTHING FROM OUR BUYERS Period!!!
If you like the fact that someone is gong to be honest with you that is who I am. I wont lie to you just to make a sale. I do this for you to enjoy the dachshund breed. I do not show because in My Opinion a show dog does not get to be just a dog nor do I have the time or money to go to a shows. I am one of those people who loves to be with my family and my doxies.
